About us

Testmydriving.com is hosted by Transport Research in Psychology (TRiP), an academic research group, based at Nottingham Trent University. We have worked in the field of traffic psychology, and hazard perception in particular, for over 20 years. During this time, we have developed many of our own hazard perception tests, and TestMyDriving.com is our new platform to make these available to members of the general public.

You can visit TRiP to see what we do on the NTU Research Group Website

We also have a Twitter @ntuTRIP and a Facebook Page where you can get in contact with us

We are dedicated to reducing death and injury on UK roads, and beyond. That is why we provide the access to the majority of our tests free of charge. Taking part in these tests is a great way for you to help us with our research, whilst also improving your own skills.

We also undertake research on a variety of driving-safety topics including mobile phone distraction, motorcycle conspicuity, visual skills training, roadside advertising, framing road-safety messages, and human factors evaluations. In our laboratories we have both portable and static eye trackers, two car simulators, and a motorcycle simulator. If you are interested in taking part in any of our research projects, please contact [email protected] to see if you are eligible.

We also undertake consultancy work for local authorities and private companies. If you have any research needs, please get in touch via [email protected].
